It is me carrying the bride stone at Debre Elias. I am carrying the female one. The male is the one who stands behind me. The bride stone has a history byitself. I will try to write about it as soon as i can !!!
This is The church in Debre Elias. The church is named "Debre Genet Elias". The church is one of the biggest in ethiopia and is the main heart in Qeene. The churches' leader has a name " Dimeha Genet". The church has now about seven (7) Mergetas and more than 200 priests.
Some of the people who came from Debre Elias and the surrounding area are:
- Nigus Tekle Haimanot (his mother is from Genet Abo area)
- Abune Theophilos,the second Patriarch of Ethiopia.
